An initiative designed to create a platform for harnessing talent, show case excellence and innovation among South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years, to develop personal qualities of self-reliance, perseverance and a sense of responsibility to themselves, to society and to the nation and equally inspire others to get involved and pursue their dreams.

The aim is to seek out and encourage, highlight and promote positive role models to inspire other South African youths. Our staff are dedicated to seek out individuals, businesses and communities who are performing remarkable achievements and give them the opportunity to be recognised for these achievements, whilst projecting a positive image to all South Africans.

First, we open the minds of young South Africans from all spheres to the possibilities available to them individually and as a community, pulling down all excuses by showing and giving practical examples of young businessmen and achievers in different field of endeavors who have managed to succeed in similar circumstances and have formed businesses with their unique skill-sets, and accessed the market.
Our staff are specialists in conducting awards programs on a local, state and national level, and have been selected for their skills and experience in marketing, public relations, sponsorship management, project & event management and working with the media.

We focus on producing positive outcomes for our stakeholders and the sponsors involved. With the combination of media support from all our media partners we are able to reach all South Africans throughout each province, both metropolitan and rural; therefore offering all South Africans the opportunity to become involved in our awards programs which are structured to cover a total spectrum of achievements necessary to build better communities.

The mission of Ikusasa awards is to uphold, create and mirror history makers and achiever as never before.

We shall celebrate our young achievers achievements and denounce infamy and other acts capable of entrenching anti-national development orientation.

We shall focus and report Young Achievers who will inspire the future of younger ones.

OBJECTIVES
The Ikusasa Awards, being the first South African Youths Awards is the bold activation of a dynamic process which aims to achieve the following Objectives. To:

Encourage, celebrate and reward, an exceptional, committed successful youths who have achieved fame in their own fields through excellence and Can-do spirit of the South African youths hereby promoting the South African rich culture and as well as creating an impact in the future of many South African youths.

Promote and sustain healthy competition amongst our youths in the entrepreneurial and social development sectors, with a view to continuously raise the ante by progressively increasing industry standards in quality, depth, excellence and creativity in these sectors.

Continuously recognize and reward excellence, creativity, potential, innovation, tenacity and faithfulness in our youth, in both in time and space.

Promote and emphasize the historical, intellectual, cultural and tourism context and content of our nation through participation of our youths.

Promote a culture of excellence, which will empower the youth to foster and celebrate the can-do spirit of South Africans, using the Ikusasa Projects as a platform for our generation.

Educate the general Public with examples of youth achievements

Build self-confidence through rewards for excellence

Provide role models & mentors for our youths by highlighting their achievements and the pursuit of excellence.

To inspire young South Africans by showing them others as young as themselves who have managed to conquer the difficult South African environment.
